Is Keukenhof open at Easter 2027?
Yes. Keukenhof is open daily during the 2027 season, including Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, from 08:00 until 19:00. Easter weekend can be very busy, so book your entrance and transport in advance.
When is Easter at Keukenhof in 2027?
In 2027, Easter Sunday is 28 March and Easter Monday is 29 March. Good Friday falls on 26 March. Keukenhof's 2027 season runs from 18 March through 9 May, so Easter arrives only around ten days after opening day.
Because Easter is relatively early, the exact mix of flowers will depend strongly on the weather in February and March.
What flowers can you expect at an early Easter?
Keukenhof is designed to provide colour throughout the season, with layered planting and indoor flower shows supplementing the outdoor gardens. In late March you can expect early spring bulbs and displays, but nobody can guarantee the peak of every tulip variety on a fixed date.
For up-to-date seasonal conditions, check the Keukenhof Flower Report shortly before your visit.
How busy is Easter weekend?
Easter is traditionally one of the busiest holiday periods at Keukenhof. Historic Easter weekends have included sold-out days and heavy road traffic around Lisse. Treat the holiday as a high-demand period rather than assuming you can decide at the last minute.
- Book entrance tickets before travelling.
- Reserve the Keukenhof tours and transfers early if you are not driving.
- If driving, buy the correct parking product in advance.
- Allow extra travel time around Lisse and the Bollenstreek.
- Arrive early if your chosen time slot allows it.
Is there a special Easter programme?
At the time this guide was updated, a specific Easter event programme for 2027 had not yet been published. The park itself is open normally over Easter. Any special entertainment, family activity or one-off event should therefore be treated as an extra only once it appears on the official event calendar.
Do not book solely for an unannounced Easter activity. Plan your day around the gardens, pavilions and regular Keukenhof experience; consider special programming a bonus if announced later.
Visiting Keukenhof at Easter with children
Easter weekend is a natural family day out. Build in breaks and do not try to see every path. The playgrounds, animal areas and child-friendly facilities can be combined with the flower gardens so younger visitors are not walking continuously.
Read the guides to the Miffy playground and petting zoo when planning a family visit.
Parking at Easter
Roads around Lisse can be especially busy over a sunny holiday weekend. Follow traffic officers and the signed approach to P1 or P2 rather than insisting on a route from an older navigation instruction.
The Keukenhof parking guide explains P1, P2, car and camper prices, coaches, motorcycles and electric-car charging.
What time should you visit?
An early arrival gives you more time and can feel calmer before the middle of the day. Later in the afternoon can also be pleasant, but do not arrive so late that the 19:00 closing time leaves you rushing. Your booked arrival slot remains the key instruction.
Combine Easter at Keukenhof with the coast
If the weather is good, you can finish the day at the North Sea. Noordwijk Beach is one of the most convenient coastal options from Keukenhof; Katwijk aan Zee adds a village centre and restaurants.
