You do not need a ticket or reservation for a normal visit. Parents and carers remain responsible for supervising their children.

Open throughout the year from sunrise until sunset.

Just turn up

Normal playground visits do not require a reservation. Parties and organised events should be arranged in advance.

What can children do?

Speelzandt is built around active outdoor play. Instead of a conventional plastic playground, the equipment uses natural materials and the dune setting itself becomes part of the experience.

  • Climb and scramble over natural play structures.
  • Practise balancing and coordination.
  • Run and explore in the outdoor dune setting.
  • Combine playtime with a walk through the surrounding dunes.
  • Walk to Langevelderslag Beach afterwards without moving the car.

Good to know: the playground is intended for children up to and including 12 years old. As with any outdoor nature playground, surfaces can be sandy or uneven, so footwear suitable for active outdoor play is useful.

Pannenkoekenkasteel: pancakes after playing

Inside the Speelzandt area you will find Het Pannenkoekenkasteel. It serves freshly prepared pancakes and other family-friendly food and drinks. The current menu includes sweet and savoury pancakes, toasties, hot dogs, drinks and ice cream, with children's menu options as well.

Unlike the playground, the Pannenkoekenkasteel does not have guaranteed daily hours. It opens on suitable weather days and can remain closed in poor, wet or stormy weather.
