What is LEGOLAND Discovery Centre?

This is not a large outdoor LEGOLAND theme park. Instead it is a compact indoor world designed around LEGO building, creativity, play areas, family experiences and rides. Many activities are most appealing to younger children, especially those around 2–10 years old.

MINILAND – The Hague in miniature

Explore local landmarks rebuilt with LEGO bricks. Children can spot details, buildings, vehicles and scenes inspired by The Hague and Scheveningen. Special lighting and interactive features make this a fun way to recognise places they may visit during the day.

Imagination Express ride

Take a family ride through a playful LEGO world with interactive elements. Some experiences have safety or mobility requirements; follow the ride signage and staff instructions for children and adults.

The LEGO 4D cinema

Enjoy a short LEGO adventure enhanced by effects beyond the screen. The film programme and operating schedule may change, so check on arrival for the available shows.

Build & Test

Design LEGO vehicles, experiment with wheels and construction choices, and challenge family members on the test track. Children can learn through trial and error while developing their building skills.

DUPLO and play zones

Younger children can explore spaces with larger DUPLO bricks, while other themed play areas offer creative and active fun. Some play areas may require socks or have age and height restrictions.

Creative workshops and NINJAGO

Look for organised model-building sessions and themed activities. These can vary by day and may be subject to space or time limits, so check the programme on your visit.

Important admission rules

Standard admission is designed for families: adults normally need to be accompanied by a child, and minors need adult supervision. The precise age definitions for adult-only admission or special event days should always be checked in the current ticket conditions. Do not book a standard ticket if you are an adult visiting alone without confirming eligibility.

Tickets and booking

Choose an admission date and time in advance, especially during school holidays and rainy weekends. The booking link shows current prices and available entry slots. Check ticket conditions and any separate charges before paying.

Opening times and how long to stay

Hours and final admissions vary by date. Plan around two to three hours, especially if your children like building or repeat activities. Allow longer if you want to enjoy nearby restaurants and Scheveningen Beach.

Toilets, baby changing and accessibility

There are toilets, baby-changing facilities and an accessible toilet. The attraction provides wheelchair access to much of the visitor experience, but ride vehicles may require transfers or have individual restrictions. Contact the venue ahead of time for specific accessibility requirements.

Food, LEGO shop and payment

A café offers drinks and refreshments, while the LEGO Shop is a good final stop for gifts and sets. Cashless payment may apply. There are many additional places to eat along the boulevard.

Parking and arrival

Use paid public parking garages around the Kurhaus, Zwolsestraat or Nieuwe Parklaan; there is no dedicated LEGOLAND visitor garage. Travelling by public transport from central The Hague is also convenient. Allow more travel time in sunny weather or during school holidays.

Pair it with SEA LIFE or the beach

SEA LIFE is very close, making a two-attraction family day possible. You can also visit the Pier, watch the sea or spend time on the sand between your booked activities.
